Kau Bay…a safe haven for us divers when Wellington is battering us with hardy Southerlies. Plenty to see here…Spotties, Starfish, Blue Cod and even seahorses!
Park off the road where it bends sharply. from here you can go into Kau Bay, Kau Point or even Mahanga bay. you can get out to 20+meters but I wouldn’t bother unless you are looking for the ute or the net ;). In Kau Bay follow the weed line around and keep an eye out for those Seahorses.
