Meet The Dive Guys
Steve Journee is a PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer. He fully supports marine reserves and marine conservation to help replenish the world’s marine life. He is a trustee of the Friends of the Taputeranga Marine Reserve trust. Steve loves diving and training in Wellington’s many fantastic dive sites. The viz is not always great but there’s a site for every condition! Steve also enjoys ocean swimming and has competed in…well completed…Sovereign Ocean Swim Series races in Wellington and Christchurch. Sometimes he is not in the water…but he is thinking about getting in real soon…

Brett is our Dive Master in training. Needless to say, like the rest of The Dive Guys, he loves diving and everything about it. He’s always up for a cold water experience off the shores of Wellington and is highly enthusiastic in any weather…so if you need a bit of extra encouragement to get in the water Brett’s your man! We’re pretty sure his happiest underwater experience to date was seeing his first sea-horse but you’ll have to ask him about that. (Brett’s the one on the left by the way…we’re pretty sure that turtle is trying its best to ignore him!)
Where to find us…If its sunny and the winds are down, we’re out and about and in the ocean of course. If its a little bit on the windy side, as sometimes happens in Wellington, you’ll find us at the Little Purple Dive Shop just after the Mount Vic tunnel, probably drinking coffee and chatting about diving. If you don’t feel like leaving the house just flick us an email and we’ll get back to you as soon as we’re finished our coffee! For those of you who fear computers we are, of course, just on the other end of the phone and we’d love to hear from you.
